A little about Mary Berry
Mary has lived in the Ashford area all her life and is a family orientated person who has four children and a growing wealth of grandchildren. She realised there was a need for Colonic Hydrotherapy in the Ashford area and as she was a nurse and qualified reflexology and Reiki practitioner, she then trained in London as a Colonic therapist and opened a clinic for complementary therapies in Willesborough to enable to provide this service.
Colonic Hydrotherapy is performed by Mary Berry RN. Mary is qualified Colon Hydrotherapist with I-ACT, (International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy) 2005. Mary has had a long-term interest in complementary therapies . She is well known for her relaxing, calming manner. Any fears or nerves will soon disappear as Mary will put you at ease, hopefully answering any queries you may have. After the initial assessment, it will then possible for Mary to provide a service with a complete and honest approach, treating each person as an individual, working towards the outcome desired by the client.
Mary was a Registered Nurse working within the nursing profession for over thirty five years. Until recently she worked at a nursing Care Centre in Ashford for the elderly and terminally ill. She spent many years prior to that, as a Senior Staff Nurse on a haematology ward, specialising in chemotherapy. Mary has recently retired so she can free up time and concentrate on the increasing demand for providing her therapies and Cambridge weight loss consultancy.
Mary’s varied nursing background has provided her with wealth of knowledge and experience and nursing skills. Mary feels that it is a great advantage that the colonic therapist is medically trained. These skills are beneficial in many ways, for example: when assessing a client, it is important to have the knowledge and experience of illnesses or medical problems that the client may be present, also being familiar with the medications the client takes, and aware of the side effects or interactions that may occur, which often can often be related to their symptoms.
Reflexology She has been a qualified Reflexologist since 1996 and is also a Reiki Healer. A Reflexology treatment is for a full hour. She will complete her Reflexology session in a unique way with a few minutes of Reiki delivered via the feet to completely relax and refresh her Client. Further information on Relexology can be found on the Reflexology page.
